some clubs (such as NESBA) require full leathers now ... no zippered pants allowed.

2003 Chevy Avalanche with 12 foot Haulmark enclosed trailer. It can haul two bikes and a crapload of gear. I have even slept in the trailer before. It has indoor-outdoor carpet in it, and room for a queensize air matress. Add an inverter to the truck, and you also have 110v electricity.

Re: track bike so I don't hurt my baby at the track...

actually it was only $2300. I got it off ebay brand new. Picked it up at the factory, only 38 miles from my house.
I had a 12 foot open trailer , which I got for about $1300, but it ALWAYS rained, and you could not lock anything up. The extra $1000 was well worth it.
Plus now I can move furniture for my friends any time I want to :-)

2000 Honda Odyssey. It doesn't tow as much as the Astrovan minivans (and practically every truck) with only 3500lbs. But it's enough for my open trailer and two bikes, as well as a full load of gear, coolers, chairs, ezups, etc.

The minivan doubles as a people hauler, and in a pinch, when I take out the 2nd and 3rd row of seats, a bulbous truck with a "covered" bed.

LoL

Actually, I had the Odyssey for a family business transporting students to an afterschool tutoring center (ok, sweatshop workers) and back home. That business ended, but I still have the Ody.

I'll miss the cheap labor...

Just did another 2 days down here, what a friggin blast! I loved using an enclosed trailer but I used just my 1500 Ram pickup this weekend to save on gas and DAMN did I save on gas! It's nice to have the bikes protected and have room for all the gear and parts but I'm just not sure it's worth the extra money in gas.

I think I will win cheapest tow 1986 bmw 325 it's got it's lovely 6 cylender all torque engine. unfortunatly my wife just noticed that the odomiter has ceased working so it will now forever have 238,759 miles but it's has enough power to get me to the track days and back with the trailer still gets 20+ mpg and it's been payed for so long that they owe me money combinde with a 4-8 utility trailer the whole set up is maybe $2000

With the trailer I lose 100 miles per tankfull and when your driving 300 miles one way it adds up quick.

it's just the utiity trailer from home depot, I've seen cheaper ones but I like it because the side are enclosed so I can stack things in it with out worrying that it'll fly out. can't seem to get pics to load but your local homedepot will have like 5 of them siting out there

Oh I forgot to mention the ready ramp kicks ***!! Great ramp for loading and lets you keep the tail gate down for an extra foot of space while keeping things from falling out.

You should see Bill's trailer. Holy hell, it's such a sweet setup. Fully enclosed, with side door. Two bike rails with adjustable tie down hooks, lights and plenty of cargo space and the back door is a ramp.

gotcha. kind've looks like what I'm headed towards is selling my car - buying a 2.5rs (00/01) and a hitch for it and then a utility trailer. The car is just something that'll be a lil better all around instead of my crappy civic. I was a car guy before I was into bikes...
