Total front plastic weight

Has anyone weighed the left, right and front center cowl including headlights? I'm wondering how much weight they are dropping when removing the plastics when doing a street fighter.

Are we talking 15-20 lbs?

SlowHAWK is an unknown quantity at this point
I haven't weighed them, but just moved a set across my shop 2 hours ago... no way 20 lbs... feels more like 5 at the most.

I'd say more like 5-10lbs.

I think it depends on how deep you cut. The side fairings weigh next to nothing. The center with the HL module prob is 5 lb all by itself. The gauge panel while small is prob a pound or two. The fairing stay could be trimmed and mirrors retired - saving pounds. I would gestimate the overall change only netting 8-9 pounds at best. Remember you still have to have a headlight which includes brackets and wiring.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not planning on chopping up my bike as the plastics are in excellent shape. I was merely curious because it had to weigh something and as it was sitting over the front end it seemed worth asking.

Thanks.

I've got my rotors off right now and they are surprisingly heavy. The front end looks really good and clean too with the rotors removed making the red rim stripe stand out. Calipers are heavy as well. May disconnect them too.

I am curious about fitting a Buell front end with the single sided circumfrential rotor. That would be trick.

Pro-Lite rotors - small investment - great bite - lots less weight. Half?
