Question SuperHawk Rally 2008 ??

Just wondering if there is any plans for a Rally this year.... Had a great time last year and even though I don't own a Hawk anymore I would still like to show up with my RC and ride with you guys.

Any chance you guys would consider doing a rally closer to the west coast? 'tis a far ride to Deal's. Just a notion.

Maybe there should be a west coast and a east coast Hawk Rally.... SoCal is really home for me but I moved to Houston in 92 and moved to Cincinnati in 04 with my job...
But I still consider SoCal (Whittier) home.

We should see about getting together at a trackday somewhere...that would be better than the gap.

Well guys, it was a 14 hour drive for me last year so f-in' suck it up! Not to mention there are some really great riding roads up there, especially during the weekdays when there is little to no traffic.

If someone over on the west coast wants to take up SHOG Rally II - West Coast Chapter then have at it. I'm too far away to coordinate such an effort. I will tell you that I WILL be attending MotoGP 2008 @ Laguna. The wife and I are riding to St. Louis, where the No-Mar crew will load all equipment plus bikes into the trailer. I will stay in StL for a few days to visit family and then fly out to meet the crew at Laguna. After the races we are going to do a little riding up and down the Cali coast for a day or two. I'd love if you guys could meet up with us either at the race or afterwards.

As far as the 2nd Annual SHOG Rally goes, I was thinking about the same general area but staying at Fontana Village, about 15 miles or so from the Dragon. I only plan on riding the Dragon during the weekdays. I refuse to ride it on the w/e.

Sooooo........why don't we come up with a date that doesn't conflict with either MotoGP race (I'm going to both, BTW ) and I'll get something organized.

Oh, if we get enough early confirmations we can rent that house near Cherohala for a week (can't remember the name at the moment).

Well I would love to ride with you while you're out here. I don't know if you know the area or anything but could show you some of our fun roads if you don't.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make the races this year due to my job situation but will let you know about that.

As for a west coast rally, if any of you local guys are intersted in doing this, let me know and I'll see what we can set up.
Cheers,
Mike

It would be cool to have something a little east of CommiFornia. Nevada would be cool.

Hell, guys.. I may throw some nobbies on the hawk and ride the dirt, too... It really doesnt handle too badly in the dirt.. (helped a farmer with his plowing on Xmas day, lol.. oops)

I regret not putting more effort into going last year.. so I would like to go this year.

I should be healed up by late June or early July. I would recommend staying away from the gap unless you want a fat ticket

I was at the gap right before the crack down and there were a lot of riders WAY out of control.... there is plenty of other roads to ride and have fun... I had a great time just meeting new people and riding at a good pace as some of us did last Rally. I will probably be two up again this year (we will see how she does on the back of a RC51) =)

When does the school year end there? It would be cool to have some of the European contingent come over.
