Summit Point 8/13/16

I briefly met a fellow SuperHawker @ Summit Point yesterday. Made the 1.5 hour ride to attend an Italian bike show in the blistering heat. Motorcycle Excitement was hosting a track day and I see/hear a red VTR going round, so I get the camera out, took a few pics and vids. On my way out fully geared up @ noon (about 95 degrees and high humidity), I stopped by their pit spot and talked to.... Damn it!! Can't remember the name but hopefully you'll see this and reply. If it wasn't so hot, I'd have stayed and chatted more. On my way through Hagerstown Md, the Multi's air temp read 103 and I was traveling 50mph! All you Arizona people that snuff @ that number should realize it is NOT a dry 103! It was miserable hot.
Any who...

Smile Summit Point Track Day

Hey Wolverine! Great meeting you and thanks for the pics and vids! No problem, name is Luke...What a hot day but still had fun! My second track day at Summit in two years, what a hoot! I'm on a '98 SH with a few mods: Dynojet, K&N, Jardine RT ONE, RC51 MC/929 calipers W/EBC HH , R1 Regulator rectifier, Jamie Daugherty shifter and Dunlop Q3's...Bought the SuperHawk 7 years ago that was wrecked on right side. With help from a good friend put it back together but then I split a deer at 55 mph and had to do it all over again 5 years ago. My SuperHawk lives on! Love the bike and have used this forum for help several times! Thanks everyone! Luke

Your Hawk sounded great Luke. I was surprised to see one as I rolled through the pits looking for the show area. Watching the track day makes me really want to do one. It's just not in the budget @ the moment.
As we left we saw a lot of paramedic action @ the carousel, then when we got home I saw video of the rider being air lifted. Hope all is well there. That got the wife going.... you take that chance yadda yadda. I said we take that chance every time we throw a leg over!
Anyway, great to see you representing the VTR well. You appeared to be hauling the mail out there.
