Sorry to hear about this man, I'll keep craigslist on tab at least around this coast. Good to know though that our bikes are a hot ticket, sorry it was on your behalf.

swordfish is an unknown quantity at this point
me too. hindles are pretty rare these days too. seems kinda conspiquous. they usually go for the cookie cutter bikes.

Sorry to hear about your loss, hope you had full coverage insurance. Sounds like a local story hear, 15 year old had his 1st bike stolen from his kitchen! Check ebay for parts off of your bike.

lets use this a little

Of course, sorry to hear about this. Has happened to me in NY, just happened to my brother in CA. How bout some info so we all can be better prepped?
Where was the bike? What kind of lock(s)? Was it covered? How long did the bike live at that location? I have found that a cover is the #1 form of security. Out of sight etc....
I had one bike hot wired but a cheap little padlock on the back of the front disc prevented ride-away so the bike was saved! (best $2 I ever spent. Had another bike stolen from 2 ft next to mine but mine had a cover.
Also, what are the last 4 numbers on the VIN so we can actually check bikes we see. I have been doing that ever since my first CBR was jacked.
