F1 Comes to Central Texas

This is huge. Randy says he got the drift of a 6k acre facility that was recently sold. The announcement came today. They bought the poorest dirt in the county and have made a bunch of down-in-the-dirt cowboys rich. These people have suffered. During the last drought there were tracts that didn't receive rain for 2&1/2 years. It's shaley, limestone, small pockets of organic soil where you could grow a tomato but what a great place for a mecca of racing.

The surrounding area will explode. This will be the only stateside home to F1. All the rest of the venues are international.

Party central just got a little bigger.

I heard about this from my camping neighbor from Austin at the Laguna Seca motoGP race. I wonder if motoGP will stop there? 3 stops in the USA for the circuit would be killer and I would rather go to an F1 track in Texas than the hack of track for motoGP that is the Brickyard anyhow.
