Spiegler bar riser kits

Anybody ever tried a Spiegler riser kit on their VTR ? I have had Heli-Bars (excellent product) on a previous VTR and seen some shade tree conversions here and there that looked good but haven't heard anybody here talk about Spieglers much. Got a link to a thread or a personal view ?

Then you've probably read my write up on my "shade tree" conversion (hey, I work in a garage thank you very much!). I too wanted one of those kits but at those prices, no thanks.

How well do the Heli-bars or the Spiegler kit work? Any fairing clearance problems with them installed?

My Heli-bars work great. The only problem is a slight interference with the high beam light - it switches them on at full lock.
Got mine cheap on ebay for $122 delivered.

No clearance issues with my Heli-bars. Speiglers require fairing and windscreen mods. Heli's don't change your posture a helluva lot but do make a difference on a long ride. Speiglers sit you straight up or there about depending on the handle bar you put on it.
