spare rims
id like to start tracking my bike next year and id really prefer to not chew up my tires on the track. the back is new as of august and the front has lots of life still. so im thinking of picking up a spare set of rims and running some scrubs or something similar on them and swapping them over for track days. wondering what a reasonable amount is to spend on a set of stock rims. and any thoughts about this choice, good or bad?

Don't start doing track days. Go pick up a nice crack habit. It is cheaper and when you don't wont to do it any more there are treatment programs.
You should be able to pick up a set of rimes with rotors for $150-$200. I would pick up a spare set for mounting rain tires on if you start doing a lot of days. I wouldn't worry about running your tires on both the track and the street if you are only going to do a couple of track days a year.
