Sold the SuperHawk today!
Well Everyone,
The SuperHawk ownership has run its course, I have totally enjoyed putting over 23,000mi+ on my 1998 since I purchased it new in 98. It has never let me down and showed more than one 600 the faster way around a track at a school or two. But the riding is much different in Las Vegas compared to N Cali. Thanks for everyones advice and support during my many modifications especially the RC51 front end swap!
So I sold it, but have replaced it with two bikes! 2007 Wee-Strom and a 2004 GSXR 750. HEHE The one is not as pretty as the VTR but it is still is a V-twin and has crazy fuel range from the 5.8 gallon tank and 53MPG. I rode it to the Monterey GP from las vegas and back! The GSXR will be my track specific bike! I have only ridden it a few times and I but one thing to say about it, it is EVIL!
Thanks Everyone
Dennis

You're more than welcome KC - it's been good having you around. A friend of mine (just a year younger) is a licensed racer here and rides a 750. It looks like its got some very interesting characteristics over the Superhawk when we ride on the road. I can imagine it's track performance would be impressive as hell. I love my Superhawk but there's always room for more fun! Congrats and don't be a stranger.

Enjoy Lost Wages. Nice looking track out there from what I've seen driving by on the freeway. Isn't Freddy Spencer's school there?
The 750 is the only Gixxer, and the only I-4 I would consider owning. How is the roll-on? At what RPM does it start moving?
I just checked your photos. Looks like a good road for settling the dispute of top end speed on the SuperHawk.

Hey Nuhawk and Surfer,
Thanks for the send off, I am sure that I will stop off from time to time to see what is going on. Spencer's school is closed down do to some lack of attention on his part during a bad time in his life. I have ridden my other bike at Pahrump/Spring Mtn motorsports park when I have done track days out here with Pridmores school.
The 750 has nice torque down low but comes alive in like two stages, one at 7K and the other at 10K. I am sure when I take it to the track the learning curve is going to be huge and that bike is way beyond any skill lever that I will ever have. So, lots of respect for what it can do to me and for me.
That road was Highway 168 from Big Pine Ca to Highway 95. Some of the things that I saw on that trip were truly amazing and very few cars etc... I wish that my camera had a panoramic lense sometimes.
