I forgot all about this forum, and popped in to see if I still had an account. Man I miss my bike! Maybe next spring...

 

I got out of riding for about 15 years. Been back in it for about 110,000 miles. Not sure how I stayed away so long now. Last night my wife asked me how long I thought I would ride. I told her, "I hope it's 'til the day I die."

 

its funny i told my gf the same thing, except i told her shed be on the back of the bike when i did, lol

 

I hope to keep riding until I'm in my mid 70's. Then I'll buy a Ural. After that, a nice 3 or 4 wheel electric scooter with flames on the side. Should be a chick magnet.

 

After yesterday I won't be one of those fifty-something bikers revisiting their youth. I revisited it during my thirties, forties, and what the hell - when I break it - it will be broke.

 

Since 1963, I've only been without a bike for 8 years because it was interfering with the limited time I had with my family, and I wouldn't even do that again.
