We'll try to keep this at the top. If it falls down I'll sticky it.

Five riders... that's a nice manageable group size.

(Actually, it could be too many Super Hawks in the same place & time.)

We had a group of 6 yesterday & that was plenty to keep up with.

Of course, if you have a bigger group, you can split into 2 groups. The second group just leaves a few minutes after the first one.

I'm working on getting setup to make the trip.. Lots of miles, over 5K round trip. My parents live in Nashville so I can make it a dual purpose trip.

Not a for sure yet. Call me a definite maybe.

Oh, we'll be riding other roads, definitely. See the original post with the maps for those rides. They should take a good part of the day but that'll still leave some time for Dragon riding either before (to get warmed up) or after (if you didn't get your fill).

I see it now, I'm taking Friday off work and if anyone's going to be there Thursday I'll take that day off also. If not I'll be up there early Friday morning.

Well, if we can get a cabin right there at COT that'd be perfect. Otherwise Tapoco Lodge isn't bad from what I hear. No idea on prices at the Lodge though. I'm willing to go up to $40/night.

Check out the apartment
The apartment has two sets of bunk beds, sleeping four people. It has a full size refrigerator, kitchenette, dining table, couch and chair, along with a private bathroom and air conditioning. The kitchenette is supplied with dishes, utensils, and cookware.
The apartment is $69/night for two people, and $10/person extra up to four people total in a room. $90 per night for 4 =$22.50 per person...Not bad, if it's available....

Trailer parking is available...

The standard room has a double bed and one set of bunk beds, sleeping 3-4 people. It is air conditioned and has a private bathroom.

A standard room is $49/night for two people, and $10/person extra up to four people total in a room.

I'm pissed that I can't make that time of year cause I teach. But, I am doing the third week in june (16-24) with a group of friends. We bought a school bus and are converting it into a hauler/home for our trips.

kickinchicken996... thanks for jumping in there & doing the research.

Cabin or room is cool... cheap is cool... I do not need to be pampered... we'll be riding most of the time anyway. $40/per person/night is ok... $22.50 is great.
As long as it's within 20-25 miles of the Gap then count me in. Can you do the reservation? (Like I said, I will not be picky.)

I'll be there the nights of 6/8 (Fri.) thru 6/11 (Mon.)... maybe even thru 6/12.

Cool to see more interest.

Let me know when you get to the area and I might be able to sneak out of work.
