shes home, take a look

after a long winter shes finally back. i went to give john a hand finishing things up last night and at almost midnight finally finished up everything. ive decided to stay with the black and yellow. the solo gixxer tail is gonna stay black, undertail yellow, black windscreen and im gonna paint the fender black. the tail needs some work, a little sanding and a fresh coat of paint. took some work to get it to fit, a little cutting and welding of a gixxer subframe. a little cutting of the tail, but it fits and i think it looks great. thats just a little bondo on the tail where i filled in some old mounting points. comments and criticism welcome.

a few shots from last night before she went onto my trailer

that gsxr tail looks really good on there not to mention all the other goodies. for a while I was looking into a tail conversion and now seeing that makes me want to rethink that all over again. Nicely done.

thanks guys, i havent found anything to plug the holes with now, but ive got integrated blinkers in the mirrors right now so eventually something will fill those big gapes. the gixxer tail in my opinion looks fantastic on there. john got it lined up with the tank nicely and ill take a top down shot and the lines of the tank match the lines of the tail really well. almost like it was meant to go on there. the tail is in primer now, i patched a few things on it incuding the spots in the picture where the old mounting holes were, so that the windscreen and fender are going black. fender is primed already too. another thing, im not sure how john setup the seat but the seating position feels 100 times better than it did when it was stock. the bike is alot more comfortable to ride now then it was before and the stock gixxer seat feels lightyears ahead of the original vtr seat.

also if you notice the exhaust its about 5 inches shorter now and loud as hell i love it. ill have to get some vids of it once i get the carbs fine tuned.

and just to add, 15/43 makes the bike a little bit of a snappy beast. it just wakes up and takes off in just about evrey gear as soon as i roll into it

Damn you and your ability to photoshop. Lol. That looks good I like it. My only issue is color matching the paint without breaking the bank. That's why gloss black from duplicolor is the cheaper option
