She's Gone!
Re: She's Gone!
OMG!!!
I'm just back on the forum after a great summer of bike and this is one of the firsts post I've read because the title immediately catch my attention; "She's Gone" I was thinking that RC996 have sold is VTR!!!! But oh man! this is very more worst than that, what an horrible accident!! I'm so sorry for you!!
On the other hand, I'm very glad to know that you are still alive and with all your body members!! The picture of your bike is so scarying!
This is also srtange because as Superhawk22 I was also thinking that you will be the last one to go down! Damm!! life is always plenty of surprise, some are goods and unfortunately sometime some are bad!!
I'm also so sorry for your bike, ok this is "only" plastic and metal parts, nothing to compare to a human life but with all the time, money and effort we put on them, we become a bit attached to them! (at least for me). I know it wont bring it back but I think your bike deserve now a place in the hall of fame of the VTR!! He got my vote at least!! It was one of the most beautifull VTR I've ever seen. May he rest in peace!!
Thus, with a couple to time in late, I would like to wish you a very good recovery!!

Wow. Thank you for the kind thoughts!
I have the bike back in the garage and it was not as bad as it looks, although I shudder to think that my body took the same blow.
The bones are healing. In fact I went to the gym at lunch and actually did a weight workout today. It was the first time doing anything ther than some mild stretching after 6 weeks in a brace. I'm very encouraged and feel better than I did before.
Cheers,
Rand
