To sell or not to sell?

Had the Hawk for over a month now. Totally love it. But, should I hang on to my 01 SV650S? Just looking for opinions.

Thanks!

Sell it... or on the other hand, just keep it as a second bike. Thats what I did with my DRZ400 supermoto

if your plan is to keep them both for street bikes only, then selling it makes sense - their functions are very overlapping. If you do track days, the SV would be a blast to convert to a dedicated track bike, or a great bike to start doing them on if that is an idea you've kicked around.

The SV650 is a very popular bike and it is still in production. If you decide to sell and regret it later on, you should be able to replace it easily.

The SV gets much better gas mileage.

I'm a believer you should always have at least two bikes. When one is down for service you have another to ride.

hawxter996 is an unknown quantity at this point
sv= trackdays!

if you can afford to keep it.
it has a better aftermarket for performance gains.

I'd say keep the SV cuz it's probably worth more to you than most folks would want to pay for it. You could easily find the aftermarket parts to do some mods to increase the HP/Torque and improve the suspension.

My 2 cents

Ain't that the truth!

Thanks guys for all the responses. I've already spent tons o cash on the SV and I still like it. I've settled on it being my daily commuter and saving the Hawk for the weekend rides. Of course, I'll mix it up from time to time. May start doing trackdays eventually with it too.

Thanks again...safe ridin

I really miss my halfabusa. It was a great little hooligan bike. If you can afford it then trackday the SV... Or stunt it. Huge aftermarket on the SV's.

Don't sell it unless you have to. Every long time biker wishes they still had every bike they ever owned out in the garage.

how true! and then we spend unfair amounts of money trying to rebuy one just like them and fix them up later..............like my cbx, or my 900F or my.................

garage space is usually easy to find, just get a battery tender on it

RK1 is right, sell it and regret it later.
