im assuming you just sign the title over to whomever buys the frame?

as if they bought the whole bike?

Pretty much its like selling a whole bike or other titled vehicle, the owner signs the title over to the new owner and a receipt is a good thing to have - in NY the DMV likes to see a receipt for the sale. I bought an FZR600 frame years ago for a basket case I picked up

Yeah like RickB said you're basically selling it like the whole bike. Whatever you have-clean title, salvage, certificate of destruction, bill of sale, goes with it. Then it's up to whoever buys it how they handle it from there. I know for instance here in Florida the DMV gave me a form and told me I can't take an out of state frame and title it until it's a complete bike that's been inspected by the highway patrol, kinda like making a salvage title vehicle street legal again. But again that may differ from state to state and doesn't really concern you if you're selling it.
