Rotella Oil

Ok so what is the type of rotella everyone uses. T(triple) T1 T3 T5 or T6

Going to get oil today and just looking for suggestions! Not looking for the oil bible just which of these everyone else uses. was going to do 10w or 15w 40. Walmart has the 15w 30 in T5 and the T in 14w40.

Thanks in advance and hoping to not start the Oil thread doom!!!!

I run the T in 15-40, I believe. Pretty sure there's a diesel type that they have too that I have run at one point.

I'm not really a picky oil guy though. I run what is there on the shelf that's got what the bike or car needs. I change it often though so if I do run a cheaper quality oil it doesn't have a chance to break down and stop working well.

T3, the mineral 15w40 is the one to use. You can also use the T6, the "synthetic" which is a 5W40 oil, but it's more prone to shearing (ie. viscosity loss) than the T3..... Before anyone jumps in with "but it's not motorcycle oil" nonsense, it's JASO certified for wet clutches....

I run the Triple T in mine only because we buy in bulk for all the farm tractors and diesel engine we have here on the farm. Works great in the bike

My old '98 I had got 15-30 Castrol GTX in it for the 102,000 miles I put on it. never had an issue with that bike either

Triple T usually. Just dumped Delo 15w-40. Shifting got notcher faster than than triple. Reloaded with T5 15w-40. Something tells me that it wont be as good as triple. Time will tell. Want to try Mobile 1 10W-40 MC oil, so I'm saving up for it. Really a stupid price for that oil.

Have you considered running the 15W-50 from Mobil 1? It is meant for cages but is applicable for motorcycles too.

Wink

I heard on the internet that a really good quality EVOO works really good. Catagnia Spagna is the best.

Plus when you pass someone they get distracted by the wonderful aroma. Of course the chicks really dig it too. Per Rachel Ray, though she never specifies the proper viscosity.

For an air filter you need to get one of those Ionic Breeze things, no more carb tuning needed. Not only that it cleans the combustion chambers too and mileage goes up to fifty MPG.

Tires I've been taking to this guy Gumby ..........
