rearsets - what are our options?
are gilles, moriwaki, and coerce our only options? that's also ranked by order of price. The coerce ones without the shipping would be real nice but with shipping you don't save much more and I've never really heard much about them... Gilles I can get from kneedraggers locally so wouldn't have to pay shipping

I've seen the Moriwaki's installed on our bikes and I like their looks. I would suppose with any of them their function and accuracy goes without saying. I've never completely understood the need for the aftermarket devices unless you're doing track days. Not much metal - very big pile of dough!

Gilles are freaking awesome. I had mine for three weeks before the bumper-truck incident.
Rearsets make a huge difference - at first it's like learning to ride all over again! But the payoff is worth it for the additional ground clearance. The money issue is important, but it does fix a (to me) big issue (clearance). And if you save money elsewhere on the Superhawk (lower insurance premiums, shimming your rear shock for the added ride height, grinding your own rebound adjuster, etc), then you should splurge on certain items.
As for the "Coerce" brand items, how do you guys pronounce it? I say "co-urse (nurse without the 'n')," as in to compel by force or indimidation.

I found the Coerce stuff on pac-max.com (IIRC). "chapter711" on eBay used to sell them, but I don't know what's happened lately. He used to be my hookup for the non-US Shoei helmets.
EDIT - http://www.pacmax.com/
The WR's are nice, and adjustable, but EXPENSIVE. =O The Coerce are unadjustable, but in truth you don't really spend that much time adjusting after the first few times.

You were saying that you needed to do brakes. I would shop for some good calipers and you want bling for the buck - I would use wave rotors. I think they look so cool and from all the reports they really help with the front braking.

who me do brakes? I have to rebuild mine but that's it... the gsxr1000 ones stop excellent. oh and I didn't forget. track plastics is on the list.... odd how it seems like I'm going from selling to putting about 1500 into the bike. lol Wanna hook me up with a discount from terrapowersports marm? hehe

the damper is only an after thought if I decide to pop up the rear some more... It's not really necessary as the bike handles well right now and I haven't had any headshake issues yet *knock on wood*
