Radar

I've been using this set up Legal Speeding v2for about 5 months. It has saved me numerous times.
Purchased the mounting system here AdaptivMounts™ : Adaptiv Technologies - TPX Motorcycle Radar and Laser Detection System
Still need to work out the mount to detector connection. Purchased a quick release mount plate TPX™ Quick-Release Mount Plate (A-05-02) [A-05-02] - $19.00 : Adaptiv Technologies - TPX Motorcycle Radar and Laser Detection System that bolts to the mount base (not pictured). The plan is to machine a matching plate that will fasten to the underside of the detector and slide into the mount plate.
When placed in the ear recess of the cheek pad the receiver was putting pressure on my ear which would get uncomfortable after a short while. So I removed the back cover of the receiver unit and mortised out a hole for the battery. No more pressure on the ear.
I did have to send the original HARD system back due to a defect. No problems the company replaced the unit with a new one hassle free. It has been working perfectly since.

Very lucky to be able to use radar detectors. Up here, it's an automatic 1000$ fine, and, they confiscate the unit. I've heard it may be up to 5000$ if you
get caught a second time, or, something really serious on the first offense.

A few states here are like that as well. With the way the draconian laws are being passed it will be everywhere some day. For now I can concentrate on the road and keep my hard earned cash.
