R&G Frame Sliders

Looking for Frame Sliders for my bike, I found these R&G's at a shop in CA. They look pretty effective and strong with the stainless shaft. Anyone have any experiance with them. There UK web site looks pretty good.

What's with the long rod connecting them? Looks kinda breakable to me, but not knowing how it mounts, it's hard to say...

I just put on the LSL sliders last week. Luckily haven't tested them, but they look great, and mount to the frame in several places. As a bonus, the color matched my bike perfectly. (blue) The downsides are 1. they're expensive and 2. they are made to protect the motor and frame, not necesarily the bodywork.

It looks like the long rod passes through the engine.

Are there any pictures of where the frame sliders would "pop out" on our Superhawks?

superhawk22 is an unknown quantity at this point
I could be wrong, but those look like they're for an RC51. Ask if they're for a vtr1000f or if they're for a vtr1000 sp1 or 2.
