6th gear issue

Hey guys. I wonder if anyone can help. When I change up to 6th my bike makes a sound as if the chain has gone slightly slack!? I'm pretty sure that this can't be the case but after spending out a shed load of cash on an engine re-build recently due to a suicidal cam I don't want to take any chances.

Many thanks.

Can you give more detail about this issue. Does it happen every time you shift into 6th gear? Is it sporadic? Does it happen when you accelerate normal, hard, etc.? What are your rpm's/speed as this happens?

It is difficult at best to attempt to troubleshoot the problem based on the limited information you provided about the problem.

This is relevant to my interests, mine does the same thing. It is consistent, and it's on acceleration only, hard or soft doesn't seem to make a difference. I don't have any gauges (installed) but 6th = freeway speeds, and it's any RPM.

Ditto having the same issue, there are a few threads similar but no one has an answer
