Our Little Korean Cousin?

Has anyone ridden one of these? It doesn't look that bad to me. Inverted forks and 6-spoke wheels are nice. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it looks to have a bit in common with the SH (and obviously the SV650 too). Look at the frame, and the fairing size. It even has carbs rather than FI. Would any self-respecting SH owner even want one of these for fun? Not to replace the SH, just to park along side it. Opinions please....

I read a review on them a while back, said good things...seems like price was in the low $5k range...not too bad, but then again I don't know that I would drop that on one unless I knew someone that had one for many years with no worries...

SlowHAWK is an unknown quantity at this point
Looks better than some of the other bikes they have done in the past... the older ones looked misproportioned, and like they put big fairings on a 250.... this one's not so bad!!

Cycle World did a review on it and it wasn't too bad. It's also marketed by "UM" motors-it's the same bike. But I'll take a lightly used superhawk, along with a bunch of other bikes instead thank you

I actually tried one... and it wasn't half bad?! Surprise, surprise...
Decent brakes, decent power, more than decent chassie for the power it has... Nothing Woah!... But solid and the damned thing actually has character... Kinda like a cheap SV650 with a little less poke... It's a damned near perfect first bike...

But nope... I'll stick to what I got... If I'm adding another bike it's either an RC51 or quite possibly a RSV Mille... and if it's a mille it's getting a supercharger ASAP...

My buddy had a dealership trying to sell them. Nice looking bike. He kept trying to get me to ride it, I wouldn't. My only problem with them is where to get it worked on. If you only ride locally, than I'm sure it would be fine, but if you're on a trip and, oops, something broke, now what? Honda shops are everywhere.

They have more models than just that one. They have full fairing, half and naked. Cool idea, just not for me.

Couldn't it just be brought to a Suzuki dealership for repairs...isn't the engine just the SV650 powerplant?? I really wouldnt want one myself--I just saw a salvage GT650R on ebay (I think it ended today) and thought it would be cheap to pickup a used/crashed one to mess around with. A cafe racer project perhaps...??

I have a UM/Hyosung dealership next to where I worked and checked it out before I bought the SH. According to the sales guy It basically IS a SV650s. As to whether it's true or not seems debatable. I did find some forums out there and they did say a good majority of the parts are made for Suzuki.

KG

I'd ride it... why not?
