New tires

Just a note about the 023's. I have been runing them a few years but after my last set wont again. They suffer from strange wear patterns on the front mostly due to dual compounds. I also read in motorcycle consumer news (no-ad publication like consumer reports) that many riders had the same issue.
Its like the center hard rubber remains and adversly affects handling, causing you to replace it.
I switched to dunlop roadsmarts as the handle twice as good as the stones and since the RS2 has come our I got my rear for $100 to my door (and its a 190!)
I will take a pic tonight
I should've learned since on the racetrack I dropped 2 secs of my best time in ONE day going from stones to dunlop.

If your just riding the twistys - I'd say a very good soft tire (plenty of recommendations - just search here)
But if ur doing different types of riding I'd say a good ST tire.
If money is no issue - get as sticky as U can, but realize that after 3 to 4k you'll be buying new shoes.
Now what kind of earl are U using?

I've been thrilled with my Q3's. Have about 3k on them, and not wearing unevenly at all, with a nice mix of highway and twisties. Sticky enough to be fun, and reasonably priced. Cycle gear has then on sale right now for around $260/pair right now.
