New Member-York PA
Hi all,
Been a member for a few months, first time posting.
Picked up a 01 Superhawk back in September. First bike in 10 years. I've put 3,000 miles on so far, and it gives me a smile everytime I'm on it.
Anyway, I'm in Southern PA, so it's probably not getting out of the garage anymore this year. I thought I'd get on the forum and introduce myself.

Welcome. Headquarters for the company I work for is in York, PA. Went there once. First thing they said, I hear you ride motorcycles. Want to go over to the Harley assembly building for a tour? (A couple of buildings down the street). I promptly said no and I added.........If it were a Honda assembly building I'D go!

Wolverine - East end around Freysville.
234's a fun ride out to the mountain.
Raptor- I agree. Closest I came to a Harley was a Buell. My brother worked at Harley and rides a Triumph. My neighbor works there and rides Hondas.

I found and purchased my 99 Super Hawk from a Harley dealership in Danbury, CT. It had been traded in for a Buell. I have ridden Harleys in the past. I have ridden a Buell as well. Not my cup of tea. To add something positive so I am not thought of as totally negative, they do come in nice array of colors!

I rode an XR1200X and almost bought one... Probably would still buy one if the price was right but since Harley discontinued them they are going up in value so I expect my bank account is safe.

I had a 98 Buell White Lightning. It was fun but didn't hold up very well. After that I went to a 929 CBR which held up great until it collided with a Jeep Cherokee. (My fault) that was replaced with a 954 CBR. Brand new out the door for 8500.00. The GSXR was the hot bike at the time so the dealership was practically giving Honda's away. I'll be a Honda fan for life.

Barsh. With a temp of 3 degrees F the other evening and more snow on the way, our local weather is making me wish I lived a little farther south! Looking forward to the spring so we can get a meet up organized.
Is your VTR totally stock?

Wolverine:
D&D Exhaust
Corbin Seat
Aftermarket Windscreen
Chopped Fender w/LED kit
I haven't done anything but change the rear tire due to a nail.
I'm planning on CCT's this month.
98VTR- nice to know I have a knowledge base nearby. Looking at the mods you guys have listed I'm sure when we go riding in the spring I'll have a laundry list of upgrades I'll want...

Barsh, there are 2 local rides this month if you're interested. One on the 9th starts in East Berlin and ends in Westminster MD and on the 16th starts in Carlisle, ends in Carlisle. LMK if interested. Both about 150 miles each.
