Hi, heard alot about the SH and decided to buy one. I found a Blue 03 brand new. The bike was 6299.00 plus fees. I now have a wopping 70 miles on her. This is a very cool bike.
Ride safe, Timc

Re: New Member

Welcome! Everytime I read one of these it takes me back to July 6th, 1997. Good times.

That's a really good price for a really great bike considering I paid $9k back then. Figure in inflation and that's just down right amazing and an incredible value for you.

Although this site is still young, it all ready has a ton of info for a new owner. Dig in and don't be afraid to ask.

Welcome.

BTW, the candy blue '03 with gold cases is my favorite color combination for the VTR. You bought yourself a beautiful motorcycle.

Enjoy.

Around 6k bucks for brand new litre bike...fantastic! & not a ride you'll see on every street corner. Sorry to tell you, but all Super Hawks are RED!

welcome aboard, and great choice for sure. The price you got it at is a bargain!

ride it for a while to get comfortable with it, then get steel lines for front brakes (never did it on my other bikes, but superhawk needed it), and change the front springs if needed to match your weight. A couple of hundred bucks, and you have a perfect bike.

Re: New Member

That was what steered me toward my hawk.
2002 Red hawk with 1320 miles on it and ridden by a 64 year old man.
He had a stroke and lost eyes site in one eye so now he had to sell it.
So now I got a SH for 5,000 that has next to no wear and has absolutely no marks or rash or mods on it.
