hey everybody, my name is Marlin hence the BadFish username.
i recently purchased a 2004 honda vtr1000 for 3800 with 18700 miles.
here is my bike
In the last two or weeks since I picked her up I've put on a 1200 miles. decided it was time to get familiar with the mechanics of the bike and the others that ride and work on them.
My Hawk has a small crack in the rear fairing and the rear fender was hacked apart so the werkes fender eliminator is a necessity.
the bike needs a little love but she looks and rides well
So a little about me.
I'm an avid longboarder i have 5 in my arsenal one is broken... woops
I've been in the US navy for two years now and im stationed in Whidbey island on the same base as the Squid.

Welcome! You will find almost everything there is to know about the SH here...and If you cant find it I'm sure Tweety will help you look

I'm excited to learn about this bike I really didn't think it would be as fun as the bike has been. I'm a believer now. The bike gets more attention then my 78 Studebaker Avanti II
Squid told me to check those out I'm going to try and get them before the up coming four day weekend and get the cct switched out.

no it was just south east of Mt.Vernon right near a Market by hwy 5
it was on a side road we found on the detour around the bridge collapse.

thanks, I'm guessing it was my bike that was being discussed .
I looked out my window and a man (Squid) with a super hawk and a pickup truck were looking at my bike...
Needless to say I freaked out for a second and jumped out of bed to head down and investigate. haha

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I'll continue posting pictures of progress when I can. Next thing is just the run of the mill oil change, airfilters, tires, cct and tuning the carbs.
