I had a friend that had a Katana 600. That thing rode like a truck to me! You will be amazed at what a difference the VTR, or pretty much any decent sportbike, will feel like next to the Katana. Not ******* your old bike, it's just they are so different in terms of power and handling than most others.
Congrats on your new purchase. The tapeworks kit looks good as does the rest of the bike! Looks well kept.

I saw that one the other day when I was daydreaming on ebay. I like it. You probably won't like that seat though. You should send it to me and I'll send you my stock seat. I'll sacrifice for the newbie.

Well i got the bike delivered today!! Took it for a short spin tonight. I am very rusty. First ride in over 4 years. A question for you guys. Would bar ends help with the vibration from the motor? Not used to it. My arms and hands were still buzzing 15 min after the ride. Of course that might have been from my Death Grip on the bars also.

The ringing in the bars can be due to a number of things. Carb sync is a biggie!
Once that's out of the way all you have left is installing grips, better bars, stock Honda weights into whatever you do (this is important).
Rider stance is also very important. You can't lean on your hands. You also have to work your hands if you have this tendency. Once you do, your hands will become more compliant to the bike. As I ride down the rode I get the look from the cagers like I'm being disrespectful of the road because I'm leaning on my gas tank with my left arm. I'm just giving my hands a break.
My hands go through about three rotations of fine/burn/numb/fine before I can ride for some distance comfortably.
My RLOD comes on at about 87 miles. By that time my hands need a rest too.
I heard Erik say one time that there is an excercise that the chopper pilots do to keep the blade chop from putting their hands to sleep. The same kind of thing should be good on the Superhawk as well.
I'm not real big on throttle locks because I think that breeds compacency. If I'm on it - I am on the throttle. When I get tired, I stop.

I went to tapeworks.com and they have one for the SuperHawk, but not the same kit.. that one looks WAY better...
