New guy on the Forum
Hey there everybody, I'm new to this forum, but looks like a great source of info. I bought my 01 VTR new in 02 shortly after returning from Germany. First V twin I've own out of 8 bikes. I'm hooked now. I've made a few modes & looking for more. To name a few. Undertail, rear hugger, Blue Flame cans, Spiegler brake/clutch lines, -1/+1 gears, speedo healer,Pazzio levers, Corbin seat, ect. Looking forward to hearing from ya'll. Did I mention that I've been riding for 0ver 40 years? Just 55 years young. Outa here.

Welcome. There are a few of us old farts on the Forum. I'm 62 and been riding since 1964 (friends bikes). I didn't own a bike until 1981. Like oahu hawk said, the SuperHawk keeps us young. Most guys over 50 are riding cruisers, if they ride at all.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking bike! How do those cans sound? (Curious because they appear to be shorter and have the two outlets in the back.) How does your cut down windscreen do - more or less turbulence?

The VTR is a great bike for the geriatric bunch. There's no nasty kickstart and it's reliable enough that we don't have to enlist youngsters to push it home for us very often. The numbers on the speedo and tach are nice and big. If our memories fail and we leave the kickstand down and put the bike in gear, the engine stops! What a concept. Regular maintenance doesn't cost much which is a bonus for those of us on fixed incomes. Welcome to the forum! I'm 57, IIRC. I'll check my driver's licence to make sure once I find it.
