My Hawk is officially back on the road

After about two and a half years of scraping together money and parts, my Hawk is road worthy again.

For those who don't know, or remember, I bought it off of a guy I work with that took it for a ride through a corn field. Mostly cosmetic damage.

I would like to convey my utmost gratitude to the members of this forum for the supply of knowledge, and some for parts. Cornandp for the module and converter, Noof for the frame tab, Oicdn for the wheels. I know I must be forgetting a few from years back. And Ebay. You all kept another Hawk on the road instead of going to the scrap yard. Thank you everyone.

Now that it's nice enough out to haul it out of the garage, here's some pics to go with it.

She looks great, I love the color! After all the hard work getting it back on the road I'm sure you will enjoy it that much more!

looks good. I must say I am not usually a fan of huggers on the VTR (got rid of mine a few years back) but yours looks very clean. Welcome back

Thanks for all the + replies. For those who like the color, it is Honda code YR563, Tangerine Metallic. Used on the Honda Element for the past few years.

Chickenstrip, the header was a new install, and just took on the color the first time it got hot.

Tromo01, all the signals are LP iridium flushmounts, I got them off of Ebay about 2 years ago. Been sitting in a box waiting to go on.

I do plan to ride the hell out of it, been waiting to do it for a while.

Absolutely stunning! I need to repaint mine and was thinking about a burnt orange or copper color similar but wasn't sure how it would look on the hawk. Now I know it'll look great!

Thanks Malice, you can see the bike a mile away when the sun is out. Not sure if that is good thing or not. Don't want to be a cop magnet. I have been off of bikes for so long, it's hard to stay out of the throttle.

glad you put that in the thread. It was driving me nuts where I see that color all the time - I was thinking hayabusa but that wasn't quite right. really looks great on the bike

The more I look at that color, the more dull my Titanium '05 looks.
I think that's the best color I've seen on a SuperHawk.

Nice colour. Not too many different colours about for some reason. Good to see another one.

Spent the weekend riding the wheels off of it. The wife is pissed. Mission accomplished.

Maybe I can start a cult with this new color.

It's definately a good thing. My dad always rode bright colored bikes that were loud as hell and so do I. He said you want your bike easily seen by the cagers and loud enough to be heard with their windows up and radio on for when they don't see you. As for cops, as long as you're not tearing it up who cares if they notice you
