Motorcycle Carrier
What do you guys think of this carrier?

It looks halfway decent, claims it will hold up to 600lbs safely, and they use a Hawk for their stock photo, and it is $305 delivered. How can you go wrong, right?
I would be using a 96' Yukon with a class III hitch, and I have air springs...so I don't see the extra weight on the back of the truck being a problem.

I have the smc400 that I used to haul around my supermoto when I still had it. Its well built. Not the typical Chinese "splatter" welds. I've considered getting the smc600 since I got the hawk.
Your hitch will do just fine. They are all 4X underrated for safety reasons. Having an extra person helps with loading. I would often park beside the curb and run the ramp down to the sidewalk to decrease the ramp angle.
You may opt to get accessory tailights or relocate your license plate, as the bike usually hides these.

Here is 2-cents worth--Class III hitch or not a 450 lb bike + 50 lb carrier is a lot of weight that far behind the rear axle. You can buy a light duty Harbor Freight trailer for $200+/- when on sale and by the time you add a deck and HF front wheel chock you have the same in a more manageable package. I have the rig I just described and I have towed the VTR to trackdays as far as 840 mi. from home. Again, it's my 2-cents and your real money.
