The Metzeler M5 is a sport touring tire. The Dunlop is designed for racing and not street riding. Use the Metzeler if you want a good street tire. Use the Dunlop if you want a good track tire.

Come to the group on the forum -with a legitimate question.
Comparing apples to apples, oranges to oranges

The M5s are a fine Sport touring tire, comparing a set to CT2, the M5s have the harder centers and softer outers. The M5s take a some distance to get the rubber sticky.. Yet I have used a set of M5s for distance rides on the 2003 RC-51. and the set held up well, and stuck in the curves -even under -Hard braking, coming out of the curves hard. And gave more than stable feel in the rain, and wet pavement.
As for an opinion on Dunlop 211. I have never been a Dunlop user..

8541Hawk will become famous soon enough
Well then I guess I'll add that the 211 is a great track tire but if this is going on a SH, unless it's a full Stg 2 or higher then a Q2 would be all you ever need IMHO.
