Now's a good time to check the electrolyte level in your battery.
Levels will drop quicker during the summer months.
My maintenance free battery needed quite a bit of distilled water after topping off less than a year ago.
Some bikes seem to boil electrolyte away quicker than others.
The KLR needed filling every 6 months, looks like I'd better start filling the shawk on a 6 month schedule too.
On the maintenance free type (non transparent)battery lean the battery over on a piece 2x4 to fill it without overfilling.
A dark room and flashlight helps to see the level inside, and something to squirt the distilled water in makes the job much easier.
