Reminder - Check Tire Pressure

I was riding in the mountains with a guy on a SV650 yesterday and he was ******* me in the tight stuff. No surprise there. But when I stepped up the pace I noticed the front end getting light and squirrelly. I coudn't switch side to side without a little wobble and it was driving me nuts! Finally we stopped for gas and I checked my tires - sure enough down 5lbs! I just checked them last time I rode 2 weeks ago. I suppose the big temp swings here in NYC may have been at play. I use tire minders as a back up and I usually stop at the first gas station to fill up and inspect the bike, but my exhuberance got the better of me. Never again - I'm checking them manually each time I pull the bike out and I highly rec you do the same. And don't trust the tire minders.
