Loud valves?

After fianally getting around to rebuilding my bottom end after my rod bearing seized, I finally have her all put back together.. I've got her fireing, but what I assume to be the valve seem to have a lot of chatter and doesn't good. Its a 1998 with 20k miles and manual CCTs. Any ideas?

Did you just switch to the MCCTs? How does the bike sound at different RPMs vs idle?

No, the MCCTs have been in for a while. Both at Idle and Rev it is quite loud chattering.. I cut it off after 20-30 seconds because it sounds so off.

It's been a few days, but, if you're still looking for some guidance, you can try this out. Pull the clutch while idling, this will eliminate the clutch sound. You will then be able to see if the chatter you speak of is still there or not.

I have been fighting this problem after my rebuild. At first it did make a funny ticking sound from the front head. That turned out to be a broken valve spring keeper which ,in turn, let go and bent a intake valve. I was lucky the valve didn't drop into the cylinder and rattle around in there. Now, it just sounds a bit rattly. I have check the valves twise and I have check the manual CCTs twice. it is all good. I do not have the anti-rattle gear installed. It was making the same clucking sound with it in place. I removed it with no effect one way or the other. I have been riding the bike pretty hard and the sound never changes. I decided not to worry about it.
