Looking for Vt Road Info

Hey All

I'm doin F1 in Montreal in early June

I have planned route up thru Adacks, staying over nite north of Lake George and then the final assault to attack Canucks! j/k mes amis

Planned route up is Rt. 10 to LG area - then Rt. 30 to Trout River Border Crossing.

Staying for F1 w/e and either leaving after race to head back or another overnite (keep party going) then leave early Monday for ride back.

(I'm suppose to be back at work on Tuesday, but I think I will extend an extra day) Thus, want to be home (near Easton, Pa) by say 4pm Tuesday.

Now my ?'s
As like U, I want to be on fast sweepers w/ good pavement & low LEO presence, trying to stay off I-87 as much as possible.

What are the good roads from Montreal down into upper NY? Should I dip into Upper Vt? I've have rode in Mid/Lower Vt many times

I was thinking of hitting Tracy Rd again (I will be w/ another rider - who's never been this far north)

Then some kind of route back to Mid Eastern Pa - Looking for some must hit roads

thanks in advance

EDIT Goin Hit Rt. 2 from border then down into VT

Was thinking of taking I-89 to St. Michaels College then take Rt 15 to Rt 117 get back on I-89 to Waterbury & get on Rt 100

Or Should I Get Rt 7 in Burlington to Middlebury & get on Rt. 125?

Then take Rt.125 to 100 South? 125 looks good on map - hows road condition? Come on VT - Speak up the Sox are losing

What is 100 like from Hancock to Pittsfield? Was Winter kind to 125 & 100 in these areas?

Thanks Again

125 in vt from middlebury to hancock is good. beautiful road. winds along river the whole way. condition can be rough in some places, Its worth it to me though It can be exhausting due to having all your attention to where your tires are at all times. MUST hit 17 in northern VT from Bristol NE to 100, then you could take 100 south. 17 is amazing, some frost heaves but I could spend an entire afternoon up there just going back and forth. Tight turns hilly, good views, easy to pass traffic. Conditions in 100 are smooth but you could run into the PO. 100 has wide sweeping turns and you can literally go as fast as you want, there are tons of places to pass traffic. another recommendation is 103, don't know if you'd be in that area but 103 is similar to 100 and is fun to ride. another is 107, it is short but fun. as for 15, 117 and 7: I couldn't tell you. keep us updated on what you end up doing and how it is. try to take some pics!
