Riding to Indy - Kentucky Road Info
Hey U Ky VTR Kin
Hey Going to cut thru Kentucky going to MotoGP
Some areas I planned to ride (no interest other than Ky, starting point & end point - Start Portsmouth, Oh / end Madison, In)
Some roads I planned to ride - info requested is road types, good / not good, towns, places to eat, etc, whatever you can pro-offer

I'd suggest, if you have the time, any part of 22. That's where I live, the twisties. 227 above Stamping Ground, 165 out of Mt. Olivet (the guy who laid this out rides bike, fast, I swear), 421 between Pleasureville and Frankfort. If you can handle the miles highway 22 from Owenton to Falmouth is killer, but the wrong way toward Indy unless you run it east to west.
Highway 62 from Lawrenceburg to Bardstown is good too. Let me know where you'll be entering and wanting to leave and I can help.

Thanks another site told me about Rt.22 - & yes riding it from east to west all the way to 421
Probably be on there in the afternoon of 9/11. Was thinking of hitting Louisville is it worth the trip? Again this is a deviant behavior tour - thus Go-Gos are in the offering

Get yourself from Portsmouth to Maysville. Pickup 19, 10, 22 from Maysville to Falmouth. Run 22 all the way to Owenton. At Owenton (actually just east of) take 227 south and run it until Stamping Ground. Head west on 1688, west on 1262 to 1900. Take 1900 to 127 south into Frankfort. Take the bypass around Frankfort to 421 North. Follow that all the way to where you pick up 22 at Pleasureville. Follow 22 all the way into Louisville.
From there, it's pretty boring roads up to Indy. I can give you a route backroad if you want, or you can slab it up I-65 north.
BTW, when you're on 19 right at Powersville jump off at 165 and run it south to Mt. Olivet. Turn around and run it back north to pick 19 back up. Well worth the little trip. Wear your pucks.

If we have time to hit L'ville - was going to take 150 to 135 up to Indy - U know better?
