I got a 99 with 16000 miles for $1900, it was an R-title tho. I would look elsewhere.

 

I personally would not pay a dealer $4500 for a '99 w 15K on the clock.
I paid 3500 for an '02 with just over 4K on the odometer from the original owner.

I paid $2100 for a mint '99 with 8k miles and a few extras like a corbin seat

 

Paid $2000 for a mint '98 with 2k mikes and a couple extras, ZG OEM size smoked windshield, and a Givi Mono-Key trunk. Christmas present to myself, averaging 1000 miles a month on it this year. 5k on the clock now. Bought from a friend.

 

paid 4300 for my 03 with 1200 miles on it. all stock except for a fender eliminator and a zero gravity smoked wind screen

 

Just paid 4500 for an 04 with 26 000km...yoshimura cans...zero gravity...braided lines...one owner who knows her bikes and took good care of it

 

I used KBB a lot when I was bike shopping. After I bought the bike I learned about the Canadian Blue Book. 04 retail range in there is basically 3900 to 4700 stock so I think I did okay. The first SuperHawk I found was also an 04 at a dealer and he would not go any lower than 5000 plus 5% tax for basically the same bike. I might have bought an 05 from another dealer for 4500 out the door but it was sold by the time I called back.

 

I just steered a friend to a local VTR for sale. He bought it for 3600. All stock except DanMoto pipes w/ 9xxx miles!

That's way high IMO! Keep looking. Where are you located? Maybe we can show you some close to compare prices.

 

My Red 02's got 3900 miles on it, that's 1000 more than when I bought it 2 years ago!! Bone stock, except for R1 regulator. Wanna buy it????

 

I thought about selling mine back in February/March. 2003 with 2800 miles, not a scratch on it. Jardine CF hi-mounts, Sageant seat, JD shock. and best offer I got was $3k. Decided it wasnt worth selling. I bought it 2 years ago with 1500 miles on it stock for $3800.

 

So far that's the same response I have received from trying to post mine f/s. It is tempting when they come over with 3K cash. I bought mine last year for $3100 with 1700 miles and am up to 16K now. Still looks mint yet can't get $3900 for it even when every bike for sale in the area has over 30K miles.
