8541Hawk will become famous soon enough
The problem with these is that you wouldn't be able to mount the bar end weight. You really want to keep those on unless you like the bars to vibrate.

also anything on ebay with SP-1 after the vtr1000 is for the RC51 not the superhawk.

Sidenote: is "someone" or even "some" so hard to spell?

Any local motorcycle parts store will have a set, try Google and see what you get.

The stock grips are an odd length. They're 120 or 125 mm., I forget which. Many aftermarket grips require trimming because they're too long. I ended up with some grips from Galindo. I could buy a set of Galindo grips for less than the cost of a single stock grip and they don't require trimming. I suggest that you measure the length of the stock grips before you buy.

I just went to the local cyclegear and put on some generic ones they had in stock, they fit with no trimming. I had no idea the stock were not a common size.

OURY, baby. They are comfy, for sure. Definitely the grip for longer rides.

I found one of the stock grips I had taken off the VTR. It is 120 mm. long. I looked at the Pro Grip website. There aren't a lot of 120's with open ends. I was surprised that I had any difficulty at all in finding the right size. I'm glad others have had better luck. I'll keep looking.
