know anything about the Z1000?
I'm thinking of adding another bike to the garage. The Kawasaki Z1000 has caught my eye, but I don't know anything about it. Anyone have any experience?

The ugly pickle fork exhaust has to go. With muzzy's the thing sounds just plain mean. Their pretty vibby. Otherwise fast and a wheelie hooligan. A freind had one for a while and I thought it was pretty cool. In fact I was just talking about it with a co-worker today. If you can find a cheap used one I would go for it.

the new ones look pretty sweet except they seem kinda heavy.
older ones were nice too but i also heard they vibrate a lot (never rhode one)
oh and they are kinda small, if you are over 6'1 you will look too big on it, imo

I've always loved them personally. I agree that the exhaust has to change. Akrapovic makes a cool looking system, and i'm sure it sounds sick. I test drove one of the old ones back in '04. I felt like i wanted to do wheelies everywhere. But it's a bad choice if your looking to ride more than a few hours.
