Just saying Hi
Hi All,
Just dropping a note to say Hi, I'm now a proud own of a 1999 Honda VTR1000. I had a nightmare with an Aprilia Pegaso that finally died on me (after only a month) - terminal electrical problems, so the dealership took it back and there was this yellow bike just calling my name in a seductive tone. I was gonna get a CBR, but oh well ;-) This one goes with my black and yellow leathers ;-) lol
Any hints or tips - it's the standard bike, I'm gonna use it to commute (I have a longish commute)...
Cheers, Jakeeboy

Nice! I have a yellow one also. I was a little hesitant about the color but I dig it now.
Tip: I've been reading some people who have had problems with the factory automatic Cam Chain Tensioners ( CCT ), but I don't know exactly how much of a threat this is or the ratio of how many bikes it affects. It's making me a little uneasy when I ride, so I'm bound to change it out soon for a manual one made by APE.
