Hi Guys. I've been riding my whole life & just got a 2000 vtr1000 with 3300 miles on it. It has a K&N filter, Vance&Hines exhaust, Jetted, handlebar & Mirror risers, & a custom chin fairing. Otherwise Stock & Absolutely beautiful! It is super fun to ride. I've been reading some of the forum & happy to be a new member.

Very nice and clean bike! I just picked up my 05 this week and it's been awesome. Funnest bike I've ever had and I've owned about 7-8 from 70's Jap bikes to newer sport bikes. I wish I could take a week off work just to ride!

Awesome bike, and welcome to the forum. I just got here about a week or two ago, and it seems to be a great group of folks, with lots of riding experience.
Hoping to add a set of saddlebags to my VTR as well, will make commuting a bit easier. Nice buy.
PS - Why are all of you guys in Florida? LoL.

Congrats man! Bike looks sweet. Can't believe the low miles. I just picked up mine last week with 19,000 miles! Still runs strong though! Except for the stator but that's for another day...
Besides cutting the rear fender, what are some other options. I found these under tail kits on ebay for $95.00, painted and ready to install. Any suggestions??

There are a bunch of us in Florida and in California. Seams like these two places are where 80% of the Hawks ended up. Hell I have two close friends with hawks, another hawk owner in my neighborhood whom I haven't gotten a chance to ride with and met 3 or 4 others around town, and that's just in the Orlando area.
And yeah I would say that was the shortest lived ownership of a hawk I have seen in a while. haha.

Only seen one other up here in MA and that was a crashed one put back together as a streetfighter. There was one guy on a local board that bought one and had it stolen three days later......
