It's not a Porsche but . . .

I have position #1 for the new tricolor VFR (non-ABS) at my Honda dealer if I want it. I have thought long and hard on this one and I would really like to have it for myself but I just honestly don't think it's in the cards for me. If any of you have a sincere interest in the machine I will post the deposit for you because time is of the essence! You/we can reserve it for $200. Please be sure that you can pull this off as it is a deal amongst friends - the kind that you can't talk about much. He assures me that the final sales price won't even be "close to" msrp. He has 15 guys in front of me but none has posted a deposit and he obviously feels little loyalty to any of them. I am a regular customer but have never bought a bike from them. They are a Honda "powerseller" (his words) so they are guaranteed at least one of the tricolors but may, in the end, get two. Delivery of this bike is expected the first week or two of January.

Thats a noble gesture. Personally the only Honda I'm looking at is the 1000RR. I'm all about all out performance.

Tricolor, is that a type of pearl or multiple color scheme?

I would love it if it were 100 lbs. lighter and had about 30 more horsepower.

As a former '86vfr750 owner... I really dig that scheme! In a few years I'll have to find me a nice used one ;-)
