Insurance: The Bad, The Good, The Unknown
THE BAD
My '98 SH at the beginning of the trackday at Gingerman Raceway on Sat. 8/14/10
The same SH at the end of the day
THE GOOD
I am insured by Foremost and they cover trackday damage. I was "straight" with them on how, when, where the damage occurred and they are taking care of everything: bike, leathers, gloves, helmet less my deductible.
THE UNKNOWN
How much are my insurance premiums going to increase at renewal time?

Its up for auction on crashedtoys.com right now. Still has all the tape on the lights too. Curious to see how much it'll go for. Any idea why it wouldn't run anymore? Might pick it up for a parts bike depending on how high it goes.

I think it still runs. The it was totaled because the insurance co. estimated the damage at $6000 on a bike valued at $3000. They offered to sell it to me for about $1150--to much for me. It was a strong runner and had no problems that I was aware of. Engine is probably good but there is little body work that is recoverable. I think the frame, engine, electronics, fr&rr wheels (with Pilot Road 2CTs with about 900 miles on them) are good. Could not tell about forks and there is some damage to TBR hi-mount pipes.
