Yeah it's a cool bike but unfortunately as you see didn't bid past $2500. If it were mine I'd consider parting it out or better at least take some of the stuff that would be easily replaced with stock parts like the wheels and put some extra $ in my pocket-wouldn't change the value much...I'm saving stock shock, rearsets, etc if I ever sell mine....it's not like they're going to add any value to the bike. My second hawk is getting put together as a streetfighter and I'm simply not going to put any money into it because I'll never get it back...

When it comes to selling anything the cleaner and closer to stock it is the better...If you build a custom you should plan on keeping it or at least not getting your money back when you do sell. Having said that it is a really cool bike...

I think it was on ebay once before awhile back. It looks really nice and I'm sure it's got a ton on time and effort in it (and $). Putting clip ons and fairings back on the bike would more than pay for themselves, however another big ding against the price and a personal no no when buying something is not having a clean title-alot of people will shy away from that. They may still buy it but they're going to want to pay less for it, even if it's just words on a piece of paper. Streetfighter plus rebuilt title=less money no matter how nice it is, and it's really nice. Again I'd recoup some of the $ and replace a bunch of the cool parts with stock before selling it.

Yup, captainchaos hit it. Usually things sell better if they are stock. A bike like that needs to have a buyer who is wanting those same mods/looks. Not to say it looks bad, because damn its a friggin' nice bike!!! It's just the nature of the beast when you customize something that much. Same goes for cars. Depreciation is a bitch.

Hey LineArray,
motorcycles are going to be a golden commodity when america wakes up from the shock that these fuel prices are here to stay mate. I am glad a bought a bike when I did. They will be selling for much more then they are now I'm sure.
