Welcome to the insanity that is building a older Sportbike. I’d have it no other way.

Use one of the craigslist search engines like Craigspal. It will allow you to search nationwide for items you need. Ebay as always also.

Welcome Mike.

Yes, there is a lot reading to do. I've had mine for over a year, and there is still reading to do. Some very inventive people on this board, with some simple solutions to problems, and some with some very nice additions to their machines.

Jamie Daugherty does a nice F4i rear shock conversion and a trick looking and working shift lever.

Greg (Hawkrider), our admin is a Superhawk guru, and does the stock front fork upgrades for a more than reasonable price.

CircuitBurner, Russ, makes a nice aftermarket race-ready Regulator/Rectifier. Hopefully, I'll be installing it this afternoon. I'll let you know the outcome. OH, and it's lifetime warrantied by Russ. Worth the dinero.

Tweety, can't say enough, lots of info, willing to share, just standby for the sarcasm sometimes. Trick bike with lots of swaps, lots of pictures. Look him up.

Kaiju has a sweet tricked out bike.

Plenty of single-sided-swingarm swaps (SSS).

I forget who has the General Lee bike, very well put together, and nice paint job.

Mikstr put together a group buy on some machined aluminum long velocity stacks. Some more of us want them, and might put together another group buy.

Want some trick fairings, search on the board for "Mario Nava".

I know I'm missing some people, and some products, but there is a lot of reading for you right there.

That grin you've got, it won't go away. If it does, hop on an I-4, go for a blast, then get back on your Hawk, and the ear-to-ear grin will be renewed.

Welcome again.

Erik
