ignition coil

bought a vtr last week. immediately took it to the mechanic. he changed all the fluids, checked valves, cam chain, etc... as he was getting it ready to take it around the block to test it's jetting it started idling rough. after hours of searching he discoverred a bad coil. the good news is that the coil is reasonably priced and will be here tomorrow! i didn't miss much riding either because of all the rain we've been getting.

If the coil is bad, check the R/R, that tends to go bad and take the coils with it when it goes. (too much voltage) Do the R6/R1 or GSXR R/R mod if you haven't yet. (or get the improved finned Honda one, not as good as the Yam/Suz one but better than what the SH came with)
