I love you Hawkrider

I had not followed the spring thread but your last, literally closing post almost brought a tear to one eye but I did let out an endearing, surprised gasp.

I'm finally a member of a cult other than my own.

Oh come on man! Transend the physical world again, and look at your soul. Ah, you see, you are lovable. Your better half obviously had to think so too if you ARE truly THAT ugly!

However, you want ugly, this is UGLY!

Man, motorcycles are so damn dangerous. Wear a full face helmet next time and **** like that wouldn't happen! How the hell fast were you going anyway? Seriously, heal quick and enjoy your additional "character"!

I was only doing maybe 20 mph, on my Jamis, bicycle. I face planted when another bicyclist passed me and hooked my front wheel with his rear derailer. No one else was within 50 yards, so I think he was trying to buzz me and misjudged, or intentionally did it. He did not go down. At first he offered to cover the damage to my Jamis and then finked out. In addition to having to replace my then new marvic front wheel, it cost me over $300 in trashed other parts and clothing. Since it was 01-01-07, I actually was wearing a JR mc jacket with armor, and it even got tore up. Worst of all I'm still suffering with damaged nerves through my left shoulder causing numbness in my left arm, and torn tendons in my left elbow. I have not totaled up my medical bills as its still ongoing. I ride bicycles for conditioning and cross-training for motorcycling, and have almost as many near misses and more injuries doing that than 35 years of mc riding! Dam!

I hear that. Everytime (really only 3) I get banged up on a bike this guy at work always points out to me "at least you didn't fall off a ladder or slip in the bathtub!". I love the bicycle technology these days, awesome machines that weigh less than 20 lbs. ****! Used to read alot of human powered websites. Guys spend hours and hours building recumbents with carbon shells. Crazy like us!

ever do a face plant on asphalt let alone at 20? I actually physically could have kicked him but his "friends" were suddenly all around, a few of which were lawyers. I could have killed him and pleaded temporary reduced mental capacity due to the face plant but again his friends were there. Maybe I should of kneed him as I got up!
