how do i get my clipons equal?
maybe im not as bright as i like to think i am....
well i know im not as bright as i think i am...
but do any of you guys have any tips on getting the danmoto 3 way adjustable clip ons, or any other adjustable clip ons to be in the same position? ive got them pretty much in the same spot but it bugs me that they arnt exact! i can always tell one is higher, or wider, or just not freakin even! using a tape measure and attempting to measure to "symetrical" points doesnt seem to get them even. theres just so much adjustment and its tough to get them equal. ive been doing this for 6 months now. i finally think they are good, then im out for a ride and BAM i can tell they arnt even. plus its very obvious if you look at the bars from the front of the bike. the levers throw me off but still i can tell the bars arnt even
any easy ways to get things even? good point to measure from and to?

That is really is the best way on the bike.
You could also set them up piece by piece on a work bench measuring as you assemble and make sure they are exactly the same then install them on the forks.

if they had just the rise, or even the rise and the angle thats one thing, but when you through in the back swoop(dont know what its called) then it makes it impossible to get things even.
i like the setting it up on the workbench idea. bit of a pain but i only have to do it once i guess....

I struggled with this myself.
My final choice was to build a 'tool" that pivots off a center mount....and then has a adjustable pointer.
I adjust one clip on at the leg, rotate pointer and match the other clip on mount.
Adjust the upright part and bar... rotate the tool and match the other
side.
The bar itself on my Apex bars rotates as well in an elliptical axis.. but they are pinned to specific points so easy to adjust correctly.
