Homecoming!

The USS George H. W. Bush and I pulled in from her maiden 7 month deployment on Saturday. Sure is great to be back home!!!

VTR/bike Content: The old girl was the only one to have a battery survive the duration. Dead as a doornail but recovered nicely. In true Honda fashion, after the battery was charged it only took 2 revolutions and she roared to life! The 1000RR's battery cannot be recovered so I bought a Shorai lithium ion battery for it and it will be delivered on the 20th. The baby-ceptor just has a cheapo WalMart special so I'll be replacing it with the same.

Went for a ride yesterday (high of 52°F). She still pulls strong and I'm still impressed at the difference the new velocity stacks make. Even after not riding for 7 months I still feel the difference in midrange power. If you guys don't remember, I only got one ride in with the new stacks before deployment.

Welcome back Greg! Life on a "floating city" must be pretty different from a sub.

Yeah, not only can you launch F-18s off of it, it's also the world's most expensive stair stepper! Just ask my Mom. She came underway with us for a Tiger Cruise the last two days. We were both beat at the end of each day with all the stuff they had going on to keep them entertained. Food was better those last two days though!

It's going to be 65° on Thursday. You bet your *** I'm going riding!

Thanks for all your support, guys. I couldn't do this without it.

I'd like to announce that I'll be retiring in September. My last working day will be August 10th! Dammit! Now I have to go and find a real job...

Welcome back to the states. Cartagena, Marseille and Napoli as ports of call. Sounds like a great tour.

Welcome home, Greg!!! Hope you have a good ride this weekend. You and your crew have every right to be very proud of what you've accomplished. I salute you all. This the best news of the month! Glad you're home safe! Glad your Mom got to sail on the ship. I cannot fathom its size.
