Where is it felt?

 

Check bar end weights for any looseness. When my left hand weight gets loose I feel a lot more vibration in the handlebar at about 3000-4500.

 

Could just be those 2 500cc pistons thumping up and down..... I know mine has a "lumpy" feel at lower rpms putting around. Its a good feeling though, not anything loose/vibrating.

 

I feel it 2nd thru 4th and in 2nd between those rpm I feel it and then in 3rd it is between 3500 and 4500. I feel it between my legs and all over the bike

 

Have you properly synchronized the carbs lately? Running rich? Motor mount bolts tight or too tight, rear wheel balanced, etc

 

The bike is running a little rich according to the previous owner. I have not gone thru the carbs yet.

 

I will go thru the bike bolts this Saturday when I have some time.

 

Let me correct myself it happens from 4000-4500 1st thru 4th. Once you get past 4500 it smooths out

 

check TPS, Carb sync, valves, chain adjust/alignment, triples/bearings, tire pressure, check for loose bolts. SH ain't no in-line 4 in-terms of smoothness, but if you got everything squared away, shouldn't be annoying. Low rpms.........need to be judicious with the throttle til you get the RPMs up to 4500 or downshift

 

How is the bike jetted? That is the range where you come on the needles so you might be going rich in that range.

 

I have no idea how it is jetted. Previous owner jetted it

 

Mine does the same thing at lower revs, my mechanic said carbs probably need sync'd.
