Got a case of the twins!!!

So this looks like the best superhawk website, So I jumped aboard I look forward to chatting with yall.. I just picked up my first twin a 2001 hawk for $3800 bone stock 14k on the clock.. It is very clean I will post some pics tomorrow. I can't wait to put some cans on it Jardine Highs maybe... I think the vtrs sound best when you let them breath a little.. Also looking at the led taillights, and tapeworks to set it apart from the others a little.

Welcome! Yea, I think it's the best of the SH sites. You'll find lots of knowledge and helpful people here. Enjoy it.

BTW, looks like you have a little Honda habit...I've only got 2, for now.

Yeah. In case you wouldn't mind putting one in mothballs for a while, a lot of parts from one of them will bolt on to the 'hawk!

She wouldn't divorce ya if you bought her jewelry every time you got a new bike. My sig has my current bikes in it.

Life is tough. It's tougher if you're stupid.

'98 Honda Superhawk
'85 Honda VF1000R
'81 Honda Goldwing Interstate
'81 Yamaha XS650 Special (undergoing chop)
'78 Yamaha XT500
'76 Honda CB750F SuperSport
'73 Kawasaki S2 350 Triple
2 late '60's Honda Trail 90's

No, having this stable of bikes doesn't make me stupid.

Now, If you don't mind. Update your signature to let us know the bling you bought your "SO" when you aquired each of these rides.. I need to know if the cost is worth it...

You know, technically speaking, it's not the chocolate that would make one fat...it's the sugar, and the amount consumed!

I just had a friend make a 4-foot-long jewelry box out of the old headboard from the waterbed that our kids were conceived on in the '80's. That's not sick, is it? Hey, it's got sentimental value! And that box won't begin to hold all her stuff. Remember waterbeds? They moved a lot like some of the bikes from the '70's if you got them into a corner a little hot. The CBX engine was a work of art, but it sure was wiggly.

Dig that '80's hair.

vtr pic

Here is a quick picture I took this evening, It is a clean stock bike I looked for a couple of weeks and couldn't find 98 or 99's for the price I bought my 01. Although i could not resist after reading everybodys comments on here, I ordered set of Jardine round race high mounts. I can't stand not hearing the exhaust note when Im on the interstate.. And it may just be that I am new to the twin's but it seems a little high geared, I have choked it off a couple of times in the driveway. I never had that problem with my cbr's but it may just like to be revved up a little more than the inline fours.. I may go higher on the rear 41tooth sprocket...

Oh gawd, NOOOooooooo...

Do a search, "gearing", or "sprockets". You'll find 8,436 posts on the subject, because, yes, the stock gearing is quite high.
